Rethinking Transcultural Dynamics

On December 9 (Sat), 2017, the Graduate School of Letters holds its annual Ibunkai Symposium. This year, the event celebrates the establishment of the new Joint Degree Master in Transcultural Studies. The Japanese-language symposium titled “Rethinking Transcultural Studies” (文化越境のダイナミックス)  introduces the audience to the genealogy and core theories of the field and showcases current research projects.

The Ibunkai (京大以文会) is the alumni association of the Faculty and Graduate School of Letters. The association publishes a journal and holds several events for its members throughout the year.
